When the Sacral Chakra is balanced and we know what we want, we pursue easily our dreams and we do not feel guilt or shame by doing what really makes us joyful. Our sexual drive is healthy, and we receive and give pleasure. Our relationships are healthy and balanced. Creativity and new ideas easily come, and we are able to finish a project till end.

Shadow side - Shame, guilt and indecisiveness

The Sacral Chakra is connected with our life from 2 to 7-8 years old age. This is the time when we need approval from our parents and relatives, we look for answers what is right and what is wrong, or what is acceptable or not. Playfulness and realisation of basic wishes is formed in these early years, and we are thought our basic understanding of right and wrong.
When we are supressed by odd believes and teachings, when we are put in a box and cannot express our wishes or cannot go for our dreams, our Sacral Chakra becomes disbalanced. Sexual abuse comes in this category as well. Fear of having sex or not being properly treated in our love life, leads to disbalance and changes our perspective of love, joy and happiness.
Many time this chakra is strongly connected with the Root Chakra, and we may feel shame or guilt by even wishing to make something different. Change our job or even choose our partner.
